“Drawing upon the sense of mission in the Gospel of St. Luke” with Fr. Michael Mullins, on Thursday, June 18th, 2015 at 7.30pm.  In the aftermath of the result of the Marriage Referendum, some feel despondent about what the Church has to say to Irish society either now or in the future. The mission of the Church in relation to our society is now unclear for many. In the midst of this, however, the Gospel of St. Luke offers very clear guidance about the importance of joyful engagement and of retaining a missionary sense at all times. These themes will be explored by Fr. Michael Mullins during this evening. He has been teaching scripture throughout his adult life and has written a number of texts on scripture, including an explanatory guide to the Gospel of St. Luke. This evening is open to anyone to attend. (There is a suggested voluntary contribution of €10.00.)
