November Remembrance Service
Our annual Parish Remembrance Service takes place on Thursday, 27th November at 7.30pm in St. Fiacre’s Church.  During this service we will remember those who have died, especially those of our parishioners who died during the past year.  All are welcome and invited to attend this evening of prayer.

Parish Shop
Our Parish Shop, located in St. Patrick’s Parish Centre, has restocked with a rich selection of Advent and Christmas items: calendars, cribs, candles…  Come and have a look.

Christmas Mass Cards
Christmas Mass Cards, offering the recipient a share in the Christmas Masses celebrated by the priests of our parish, are available at the Parish Centre.  The cost is €3 per card.

Parish Pastoral Council
A meeting of the Parish Pastoral Council will take place  on Monday 17th November at 8.00pm.

Cabaret
St. Patrick’s Lourdes Fund Annual Christmas Cabaret will be held on Saturday 22nd November in James Stephens Club. Dance to Marble City Sounds. Door Prize: Turkey and Ham. Monster Raffle. Price €3 per ticket or two for €5.

Ossory Pilgrimage to Lourdes
The 2015 Ossory Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes will take place between 22nd and 27th May.  Cost is €755 pps.   Please contact Glenmore Parish Office on 051 880 414 for all bookings.

Retired Nurses Association
The Annual Mass for retired and deceased nurses will take place in St. Fiacre’s Church on Wednesday 19th November at 10.30am. After Mass a Coffee/Tea Morning will be held in the Parish Centre as a fund raiser for the Carlow/Kilkenny Home Care Team. All monies raised will go directly to Mr Ian Wilson and the home care fund.

Advent Pop Up Fair
St Patrick’s Parish Centre, Loughboy. Saturday 29th November after 6.15pm Mass and Sunday 30th  November after 10.30am and 12.00 noon Masses.   Proceeds in aid of the Irish Pilgrimage Trust. (Helping to bring children with special needs to to Lourdes at Easter 2015.  Please support.

Kilkenny Older People’s Forum
Kilkenny Older People’s Forum are holding their general meeting on Wednesday 12th November from10.30am to 12.30pm in the Kilkenny Ormonde Hotel. Tea/Coffee served.  All over 50s welcome.

Forty Hours Adoration
Forty Hours Adoration for the feast of Christ the King will commence after 7.30pm Service and Benediction in the Blessed Sacrament Chapel in St. Mary’s Cathedral on next Friday 21st November and will conclude with Benediction on Sunday 23rd November followed by Mass in St. Mary’s Cathedral at 11.00am.
There is a rota for adoration in the sacristies of our parish churches. Anyone who would like to volunteer an hour or even a half an hour before the Blessed Sacrament should call to the sacristy after Mass.

Coffee Morning
The School of the Holy Spirit will hold its annual Coffee Morning on Sunday 23rd November from 11.00am  to  1.00pm in our wonderful school in Seville Lodge on the Callan Road.  There will be lots of home baking, our school’s Christmas Carols CD and hampers to be won. Contact Therese 087 904 0208.

Kilkenny Horticultural Society
Kilkenny Horticultural Society is hosting a gardening talk by Pat Comerford, Flower Power Garden Center in the Clubhouse Hotel, Patrick Street on Wednesday 9th November at 8.00pm. Admission €5.  Plant Sale and Raffle during the evening.

Speech & Drama
Starburst School of Speech and Drama has added a new class in St. Patrick's Parish Centre at 4.45pm on Tuesdays. Beginners welcome. Classes starting January 2015. Contact Kate 085 114 2686 for more information or to make a booking.

Go for Life Games
Over 50s Short Mat Bowls and Go For Life games take place in the Watershed on Tuesday evenings at 8.00pm. All are welcome.  Free for all  to try during the month of November.

St. Vincent De Paul Collection
The monthly collection for the local conference of the society will be taken up at all Masses this weekend.  This money will be used locally to help those most in need.  Please support.

Attention: All Volunteers/Ministers
Ossory Adult Faith Development has arranged an evening on Monday 24th November at 7.30pm at St Patrick's Parish Centre for all those involved in the various ministries in our parishes (Readers, Eucharistic Ministers, Baptismal Teams, Sacristans, Choir Members, Pastoral Councils, Liturgy Groups, Collectors, Finance Committees, Altar Societies and other volunteers). This evening is an opportunity to recognise the contribution people make in our parishes and to reflect on why it is we serve as Christians.  We encourage all who volunteer in our parish to attend. 

Victims of Traffic Accidents Remembered
Today is World Day of Remembrance for the millions killed and injured on the world’s roads together with their families and many others also affected. We will include prayers in all our Masses for those affected by road traffic accidents.

Craft Evening
Make your own Christmas Cards, exchange ideas and enjoy a cuppa on Wednesday, 19th November at 7.30pm at the Kilkenny Methodist Church, William Street. Cost: €10 including materials and refreshments.  In aid of the Rock Kilkenny Youth Drop-In Centre.

Christmas Sparkle
