2nd Sunday of Lent, 24th February 2013

Do This In Memory
This Sunday we delight in welcoming those preparing for First Holy Communion in our parish to the 10.30am and 11.00am Masses.  The young people, supported by their family members, their teachers and the members of our parish community continue their preparation for their First Holy Communion in a few weeks time.

You Shall Be My Witnesses…
This is a parish based programme for young people preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation.  This year we are piloting the programme with the girls of the St. John of God Confirmation Class and activities started last Wednesday evening.
You shall be my witnesses explores what it means to belong to the Christian family, what we believe, the gift of the Holy Spirit and how we can witness to the activity of the Holy Spirit in our lives.  The parish programme complements the school curriculum and supports the valuable work of the teachers and the school.
